Lucky Dreamer Lodge is situated on the banks of the Macal River, just a short walk from your door.
An open-air kitchen sits steps from the bungalow. It is shared with guests from our only other onsite bungalow. Booking both bungalows works well for friends/couples traveling together.

➡️Daytime wildlife: Butterflies, iguanas, agoutis, and lizards.
➡️Howler monkeys: Frequently heard and seen across the river.
➡️Evening nature: Frogs and bats appear at twilight.
➡️Natural encounters: The bungalow is fully screened. You may still spot some jungle wildlife inside, like geckos, beetles or the occasional scorpion.
➡️Village rhythms: You may hear everyday local sounds like roosters, dogs, traffic, and church music.
➡️This location is ideal for travelers who want to experience real village life rather than a silent, isolated environment.
Macal River Access & Equipment:
We provide complimentary river gear for our guests. Morning offers the best paddling conditions. Please note that river travel into San Ignacio town is not possible from here (as we have no pick-up service).

We live onsite, and the grounds are shared with us and guests from our second bungalow. This layout supports an immersive village experience rather than a gated resort setting.

Our dog Milo and cat Lucky are part of everyday life here. While they are not allowed inside the bungalow, Lucky is sneaky sometimes 😼

Cristo Rey is a small, active jungle village just outside San Ignacio.

Lucky Dreamer Lodge is a fully licensed accommodation with the Belize Tourism Board (#HOT02078). After booking, we will send you a short online form to collect required guest information.

Belize experiences occasional regional power or water interruptions. We maintain functional backup systems on the property to minimize disruptions.
